UofL falls to Kentucky in Sweet Sixteen

Montrezl Harrell played most of the game in foul trouble, ending with 15 points and 8 rebounds, but the sophomore forward fouled out with under three minutes left in the game. Stephan Van Treese also fouled out in the last minute of the game, leaving the Cards down two starters. Russ Smith led all scorers with 23 points. Kentucky won the rebounding battle with 36 to 29 boards. Luke Hancock ended the game with 19 points and 2 assists. The Wildcats won the game on the free throw line, hitting 22 of 27. The Wildcats lost Willie Cauley-Stein early in the game to an ankle injury, and Dakari Johnson filled in nicely for Kentucky with 15 points and 6 rebounds.
