The University of Louisville basketball team is playing their first Red vs. White scrimmage of 2015 tomorrow afternoon. This will be the first chance fans will get a chance to check out the new freshman class, and grad transfers Damien Lee and Trey Lewis.
Not only will the fans get their first glimpse at a team that lost the majority of its scoring after last season, but there are high profile recruits scheduled to be attendance.
This makes two weeks in a row that the Cards have hosted top recruiting prospects. Last week was five-star, top ranked point guard of 2016 class De’Aaron Fox. This week, Louisville plays host to five-star California forward T.J. Leaf, and four-star guard Andrew Jones from Texas. Leaf currently ranks in a 23 in scout.com’s top 100 basketball players in the 2016 class, with Jones coming in at number 30. Louisville has two remaining scholarships for the class of 2016.
There will also be a couple 2017 prospects in the stands for the Cards’ first scrimmage. D.J. Harvey, five-star small forward from Dematha Catholic High School in Maryland, is the ninth ranked player in the 2017 class. The other guest will be Davion Mitchell, four-star point guard form Liberty County High School in Hinesville Georgia, is currently the top ranked point guard out of Georgia for 2017.
