03/11/2016 06:30 AM

The 4th ranked Louisville baseball team starts its 30 game conference schedule Friday afternoon with a double-header against Notre Dame. The three game series were originally scheduled to take place on three different days, but forecasted inclement weather on Sunday forced one game to be played early.

Louisville (10-2) is currently on a five game win streak and have yet to drop a game at Jim Patterson Stadium this season. Notre Dame enters the weekend at 6-5 overall.

The opening games on Friday marks the start of U of L’s 30 game conference schedule, but head coach Dan McDonnell is keeping his team focused on one pitch at a time.
