UofL BASEBALL | Cards keeping their streak alive

02/23/2016 08:00 PM

The Louisville Cardinals Baseball team has kept alive it’s perfect streak. No, we’re not just talking about wins. The second ranked Cards have scored in double digits, and won by at least nine runs in all four of their games.

On Tuesday, Louisville scored in every inning but the fifth, pounding Eastern Kentucky 14-2. ACC player of the week Corey Ray continued his hot hitting. The junior outfielder went 5 for 6 with a pair of RBI’s and four runs scored. Catcher Will Smith hit a pair of two run homers, driving in six runs, and UofL Starting Pitcher Kade McClure threw five shut out innings, allowing just two hits.

The schedule is about to get much tougher. Louisville takes its first road trip of 2016 later this week, playing three straight at unbeaten Ole Miss. Friday’s opener starts at 5pm ET and can be seen online on the ESPN App/Watch ESPN.
