Louisville pitcher Kyle Funkhouser’s senior season continues to be a rough one. The Righty, who was recently moved from first to third in the starting rotation, gave up eight runs and six hits in just 3.1 innings, as Louisville was blown out at Florida State 16-5.

The victory gives the fifth ranked Noles the series, 2 games to 1, and ups their record to 22-8 overall, 9-2 in the ACC. Fourth ranked UofL falls to 24-7, and 10-5 in the conference.

Louisville never led Sunday, trailing 8-0 after four, and 14-2 after five. Four other Cardinal pitchers were roughed up for an addition eight runs.

The Cardinals return home for a Tuesday 6pm ET game against Western Kentucky. These two teams met last month in Bowling Green, with Louisville pounding WKU 17-0.
