UofL BASEBALL | Cards blow out Clemson in Game 1
04/15/2016 09:48 PM
Five Games in six days? So far it’s no sweat for the Louisville Cardinals. Following up a blowout win over WKU on Tuesday, and a victory in Lexington against UK on Wednesday, the 6th ranked Cards have started their three game series against ACC Foe Clemson, by tearing apart the number 16 Tigers, 15-2.
Louisville jumped on top with three in the first and never looked back. Course it helped that number one starter Brendan McKay was on the mound. He pitched seven innings of two hit, two run ball. When he left the game, UofL was up 14-2. McKay improves his record to 7-1.
Every Cards starter had at least one hit. They improve their record to 27-7, 11-5 in the ACC. Clemson falls to 24-10, 8-8 in conference. Game two of the series is Saturday at 4pm. Just like the Spring Football game, it is free and open to the public.
