UC-Irvine is making a BIG impression on the Cards
03/19/2015 11:30 AM
Why is 21-12 UC-Irvine making such a big impression? Probably because the Anteaters boast the tallest man in College Basketball in 7 foot 6 Mamadou Ndiaye. He’s a sophomore from Senegal, and when he gets tired or in foul trouble, UC-Irvine can bring in a a back-up who is ONLY 7 foot 2. Montrezl Harrell, Mangok Mathing and Chinanu Onuaku all will be at a height disadvantage.
UC-Irvine also has a very talented forward in Will Davis who leads the Anteaters both in points and rebounds. Despite being a shorter team, Louisville is still around a nine point favorite. Why? and how should the Cards try to exploit the Anteaters? CN|2 sports’ Bruce Snyder and Tony Rawlings are covering UofL in Seattle, and discuss the matchup advantages and disadvantages.
