Trinity and Ballard Re-Match in the 7th Region Final

02/28/2013 03:31 PM

Ballard will get a chance to avenge their 53-52 loss to Trinity in last month’s LIT when the two teams square off against one another in the Seventh Region Tournament on Saturday.

Last night, the Bruins dismantled Male 59-49 in the semifinals.
Ballard scored 22 points off 25 Male turnovers and got a game-high 19 points from UofL commit Quentin Snider. Male got within four with 2-and-a-half minutes left in the game when the Bruins answered with a 9-1 run to take control. Snider scored five points during the run including his lone 3-pointer, and Male never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.

This will be Ballard’s first trip back to the regional final since 2010, when they beat Male and went on to finish as the state runner-up to Shelby Valley.
