Top 10 draft pick credits his time at IU for his success

Experts are predicting Noah Vonleh, the 6-10” forward who left IU after just one year, to get anywhere from a three to eight pick in the NBA draft Thursday night. When our team spoke with him today he seemed incredibly relaxed and confident in his chances. He said he’s been continuing the work he put in at Indiana all summer, working on the threes, his footwork and trying to extend his range. Vonleh practiced for a number of teams including Boston, Orlando and the Lakers. We asked which team most impressed him? He had a very diplomatic and poised answer. It’s hard to believe this kid isn’t even 19 yet.

Where ever he winds up Vonleh says the NBA fans will get to see him as the whole package.

Vonleh said that Coach Crean gave him some great advice as he headed into this crazy week. He told Vonleh to ‘be yourself and enjoy the process’ so that’s what he’s been focused on.
