The WKU Hilltoppers might lose their ACE against Vanderbilt

It looks like WKU will be without it’s second leading rusher for Thursday’s opener at Vanderbilt. Former Louisville-Central High running back Anthony “Ace” Wales will probably miss the game with an undisclosed injury.

Head Coach Jeff Brohm briefly touched on Wales injury during a recent press conference. Look for Leon Allen to continue to start. He rushed for around 15-hundred yards last season, and expect Nashville native D’Andre Furby to get plenty of action as the back-up running back.

WKU at Vanderbilt kicks off Thursday night at 8pm ET and can be seen nationally on the SEC Network.
