The USA's competitive dance capital is Louisville

Whoever said the best competitive dancers are in Hollywood, Nashville or Broadway, has never been to Louisville. The ‘Ville is home to two national collegiate champions in competitive dancing and cheering.
A week and a half ago at the National Championships in Daytona Beach, FL, Louisville captured the Division 1 Championships while Bellarmine took home the title in Division 2. The fact they are both from the same city is not as shocking as you might think. The Cardinals and Knights help each other with choreography and strategies.
Tuesday we interviewed the champion Knights. Among the things we discussed is what it’s like to be queens of the hill, what it feels like to win the championship, and how they feel when people accuse dancing and cheering of not being a “Real Sport.”.
