Terry Rozier Set To Start Again For Injured Chris Jones Against South Florida

Louisville looks to finish out this mini-road trip strong with a win over South Florida tonight in Tampa, but they will have to do it without point guard Chris Jones.
“Chris Jones is not with us [in Tampa],” a UofL athletic official told cn|2 Sports. “He is improving, but did not practice [yesterday]. We are hopeful that he will be available for our game against Cincinnati next week.”
This will be the third straight game Jones has missed with a strained oblique. Freshman Terry Rozier started in place of Jones and has filled the void well. In those three games, Rozier averaged 7.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Senior Russ Smith is a constant, strong presence in the back court for the Cardinals, averaging 20.2 points in the last six games. UofL will also need a strong showing from sophomore forward Montrezl Harrell and junior forward Wayne Blackshear. This season, Harrell is averaging 12.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, while Blackshear had a breakout game against Houston scoring 23 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
Louisville and South Florida tip off at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT and can be seen on ESPNU.
