A fourth Louisville Cardinal has been taken in the NFL Draft. Linebacker Preston Brown was selected by the Bills in round three with the 73rd overall pick. Brown, who is 6“1”, 251 lbs, is known for being a physical tackler. He joins Calvin Pryor (NY Jets safety), Marcus Smith (Eagles Linebacker) and Teddy Bridgewater (Vikings Quarterback) who all were picked in last Thursday’s first round.
Only one Kentucky Wildcat was drafted. Linebacker Avery Williamson is now a Titan, going to Tennessee in the fifth round.
Western Kentucky saw two players turn pro. Linebacker Andrew Jackson went to the Colts in round six, while fellow Hilltopper Jonathan Dowling will be playing safety for the Raiders thanks to their seventh round selection.
