Rick Pitino Follows Through On Tattoo Promise

Looks like the tattoo wasn’t a joke after all! University of Louisville head coach, Rick Pitino promised his team mid-season that if they won the national championship, he would get a tattoo and he’s a man of his word. There were no specifications made about what the tattoo would say or location, but it was funny motivation like that, that got the team through.
60 year old Pitino got the signature Louisville “L” on his upper right shoulder with “2013” and “NCAA Champions” alongside it. He even included the Cardinals’ 35-5 record at the bottom. So in one month, Pitino won a national championship, was elected to the Naismith Hall of Fame, and got a tattoo. Along with the ring and trophy, another lifelong reminder of an incredible year.
