PGA legend honored as newest Hometown Hero

Louisville native and PGA all-star Bobby Nichols will be officially christened today as the city’s next Hometown Hero when a mural in his image is unveiled at the Watterson East Building on Bishops Lane.

The public is invited to attend the 3 p.m. ceremony, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of Nichols’ 1964 PGA Championship win. Nichols will become the 25th Louisville legend to be honored as part of the Hometown Hero program.
