Gulfstream Oaks winner In Tune will miss the Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) after she came out of a recent workout with shin soreness it was reported today.

Trainer Todd Pletcher said the horse will rest for the next six weeks with hopes of continuing racing again later this year.

In Tune arrived at Churchill earlier this week to begin preparation for the Oaks, even galloping on Wednesday and Thursday. After not seeing any improvement in the filly yesterday, the decision to pass on the Oaks was made. Pletcher will still have My Miss Sophia and Got Lucky in the Oaks race next Friday.

Trainer Wayne Catalano announced that Room Service is out of the Oaks as well. The trainer added that he prefers to keep the filly on the turf where she posted a 2-1-2 record in her first five career starts.
