Eight new plaintiffs have been named in a civil complaint against former Louisville escort Katina Powell and the publisher of “Breaking Cardinal Rules.”

The new plaintiffs include five people who claim Powell, co-author Dick Cady and IBJ Book Publishing, LLC falsely accuse them of prostitution — even using their names and images in the book without their permission. In addition to Kyle Hornback , the UofL student who originally filed the complaint, three other new plaintiffs, including Hornback’s brother, also seek compensatory and punitive damages because of limitations they claim are now placed on their degrees, ability to repay student loans and ability to find employment after graduation.
