Friday at 4:10pm ET the Louisville Cardinals tip off their NCAA Tournament run, by taking on 21-12 UC-Irvine at the East Regional in Seattle. Yes Seattle is the host site for 4 teams from the East. The Cardinals come into the game at 24-8, but losers of two of their last three games. However, Louisville is currently a 9 point favorite, and under Rick Pitino, UofL has only lost once in 14 games when favored in the Tourney by eight or more points.
Louisville will have to be ready for big 7 foot 6 inch Mamadou Ndiaye. He’s a 300 pound Sophomore from Senegal who’s averaging about 10 points and 5 rebounds per game. However he is neither the Anteaters biggest scorer or rebounder.
The Cards are led by their big two. Terry Rozier gets about 17 points and 5 rebounds, while Montrezl Harrell is good for about 15 points and 10 boards a game. CN|2 takes a look at the match-up.
