LOUISVILLE FOOTBALL | Contrasting last season with now

03/30/2016 06:30 AM

Remember how the 2015 Louisville Football Season started. The Coaches could not decide on a quarterback, so the depth chart listed all four QB’s as potential starters. 2014 starter Will Gardner never saw any action last season. Kyle Bolin and Reggie Bonnafon took snaps under center, but eventually the job went to then Freshman Lamar Jackson. Jackson finished 2015 strong with big games and big wins against arch rival Kentucky, and Music City Bowl Opponent Texas A&M.

Fast forward to the present. Jackson, a rising sophomore, is the man under center, Bonnafon has been shifted to a hybrid runner/receiver role, and Bolin is looked upon as a very capable back-up. Having stability at QB, not only helps that position, but the entire offense, as we hear from Receiver Jamari Staples and Tight End Cole Hikutini.
