H.S. FOOTBALL | BG's Kevin Wallace Coaching in All-American Bowl

01/05/2017 07:00 PM

Bowling Green football head coach Kevin Wallace’s season did not come to an end after his Purples took home the 2016 KHSAA 5A State Championship.

That is because he gets to coach again on Saturday, in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl down in San Antonio, TX.

According to the game’s Web site, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is “the nation’s premier high school All-American game, featuring the best 90 players in an annual East vs. West matchup every January in San Antonio’s Alamodome.”

Wallace is an assistant coach on the East team, under the direction of head coach Mike Kirshner (Ben Davis High School, Indianapolis, IN).

No players from the Bluegrass will be playing in the event.

The game will air live on NBC Saturday afternoon at 1:00 ET.

cn|2 Sports’ Andrew Chernoff caught up with Wallace on Thursday’s show. They talked about Saturday’s game, and about his 2016 Purples football team:
