HS BASKETBALL | E-Town's Erin Boley named Gatorade Player of the Year

Notre Dame commit and Kentucky’s reigning Miss Basketball, Erin Boley is adding even more accolades to her trophy case. Boley, a 6-foot-2 Elizabethtown senior has been named the Gatorade National Girls Player of the Year.

In her senior season, Boley averaged greater than 24 points, 10.3 rebounds, and led the E-Town Panthers to a 30-5 record. Boley helped Elizabethtown reach three straight Sweet Sixteens, and advanced to the quarterfinals of this year’s tournament before falling to eventual champs, Butler. The Gatorade Player of the Year award also considers academic performance, and Boley holds a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Boley’s high school career is not over yet. She will be playing in the McDonalds All-American game in Chicago next week for the East team.

Garrett Moore

Garrett joined cn|2 as Sports Producer in July 2015. Garrett is a Kentucky native who has been enveloped by Kentucky sports culture his entire life. He is excited to contribute to the cn|2 team by covering sports in the state he loves. Outside the office, Garrett enjoys golfing, hiking, fishing, and being a sports spectator at every level.
