Trinity’s Raymond Spalding won’t have far to go when he starts college next year. The 4-star power forward, rated as the best high school senior in the state by espn.com, committed to Louisville on Sunday.

At 6’ 10”, Spalding averaged 13 points and 10.3 rebounds last season in leading Trinity to the Sweet Sixteen. Spalding had offers from Duke, Indiana, Tennessee and Xavier.
Spalding will join 6’ 7” forward Deng Adel to give Rick Pitino a great start to his 2015 recruiting class.

Spalding’s announcement did not come without a price however. Stephen Zimmerman, a 6’11” center rated as high as No. 5 in the country by some outlets, has removed the Cardinals off his list, according to recruiting expert Evan Daniels.
