LOUISVILLE — U of L head coach Rick Pitino has dedicated this off-season to scouring the college ranks in search of new shooters to add to the Cardinals’ roster for next year, and he’s officially landed one of his top targets.
Graduate transfer Damion Lee informed Scout.com on Monday morning that he will be taking his talents to the Commonwealth to play at the University of Louisville next season.
The 6-6 shooting guard averaged 21.4 points per game as a junior at Drexel last season — good for sixth in the nation — and will add a much-needed scoring threat to the Cardinals’ offense this fall.
Lee joins Cleveland State’s Trey Lewis as the second graduate transfer to join Louisville this off-season, picking the Cards over Arizona, Gonzaga, Marquette, and Maryland.
