The Kentucky Derby Festival Classic did not fail to impress basketball junkies Friday night as the White Team outlasted the Maroon Team 144-132 in Freedom Hall.

Auburn signee Mustapha Heron led all scorers with 32 points 11 boards for the victors. Bullitt East’s Tyler Sharpe, who will be a Cardinal next season, chipped in 3 rebounds and a steal.

UK commit Brad Calipari, son of UK head coach John Calipari, added 9 points and 4 rebounds while taking home the fan favorite trophy

Quentin Goodin from Taylor Co won the slam dunk contest as well as tossing in 14 points and handing out 6 assists.
