Former UofL running back excited to talk some smack for the Cards

We’ve heard from UofL coaches, athletes and school officials about Louisville’s move to the ACC, but now, we are hearing from former players, like current NY Jets running back Bilal Powell, who is keeping an eye on his alma mater.
“I think we proved ourselves the past two years, playing an SEC team and an ACC team [in bowl games] and dominating both games,” Powell said. “So the ACC better watch out this year.”
Bobby Petrino will lead the Cards into their first season in the ACC, and he’s got a pretty good track record as head coach. Petrino won at least eight games in eight of his nine seasons as a head coach. And Powell does not expect anything different this year.
“I think he’ll keep it going. He’s got the weapons on offense, and everybody knows he’s got an explosive offense and game plan,” Powell said. “I got a couple ACC guys on the team, and I’m looking forward to talking some smack.”
