Former Louisville guard Kyle Kuric will have surgery to remove a brain tumor, his Spanish professional club announced Tuesday.

The release from CB Gran Canarias said Kuric was initially suffering from a migraine when it was discovered he has meningioma. That’s a condition where a tumor or series of tumors form in the membranes around the brain and spinal cord.

Kuric played all four years at UofL and helped get the team to the 2012 Final Four. He has played the last three years in Spain.
