Former Tennessee Titans Kicker Rob Bironas, who died last Saturday, grew up in Louisville. Bironas was born in the city, and played at Trinity High School almost 20 years ago, touching many lives on and off the field.

After graduating, Bironas kicked in college for both Auburn University and Georgia Southern. He then spent 12 years in the NFL, mostly with the Titans. Back in 2007 Bironas was picked to the Pro Bowl and also named 1st Team All Pro.

Bironas was returning to his Nashville home Saturday night when he lost control of his SUV. The vehicle hit several trees, and flipped over before finally stopping. Bironas was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Rob Bironas was 36 years old. He leaves behind a wife Rachel, who is the daughter of former NFL Quarterback and current FOX Sports broadcaster Terry Bradshaw.
