Former UofL football players Gary Barnidge and Breno Giacomini are among 15 professional players to participate in American Football Without Barriers.
The organization was founded in 2011 by Barnidge and Giacomini in an effort to share the game of American football to underprivileged children in other countries. This week, the pair, along with more than one dozen other NFL players, hosted a free clinic in Rio de Janeiro where they hope to find the next great football legend.
During a recent interview with cn|2 Sports, Barnidge said the organization provides young athletes in other countries an opportunity they may not receive otherwise.
