The Cincinnati Bengals are now 5-2 after getting their 2nd straight road win in Detroit on Sunday. The duel between two of the leagues top wide receivers finished in a draw. AJ Green and Calvin Johnson both ended the game with 155 receiving yards. Each receiver got their chance to show off… Green caught an 82-yard TD pass from Dalton to score the first points of the game. Johnson later answered with his own incredible catch, as the 6’5 receiver leaped for a TD reception in triple coverage.

But for the second week in a row, Bengals kicker Mike Nugent was Mr. Clutch… this week, he kicked a 54-yard field goal as time expired to give his Bengals the 27-24 win. The field goal came after the Lions rallied back from an 11-point third quarter deficit and the game seemed to be heading to OT. Luckily for Cincinnati, Lions rookie Sam Martin’s shanked punt gave the Bengals the ball near midfield with about a minute to play. After the offense gained about 15 yards, Nugent was set up at the 54 yard line for the game-winning field goal.

Andy Dalton finished the game 24 of 34 for 372 yards, the third-highest total of his career. For the second week in a row, he also threw for three touchdown passes. He reached a career-high 135.9 QB rating.

Cincinnati holds their spot in first place of the AFC North and will return to Paul Brown Stadium for the first time in three weeks to face the Jets on Sunday.
