Eastern Kentucky scored on it’s first possession, and never looked back in pounding Valparaiso 52-10. It was a total team effort as four different Colonels got into the end zone, and five different EKU receivers gained double digits in passing yardage.

Ethan Thomas scored the first points of the game, on a four yard touchdown run. Later in the first quarter, Crusaders Quarterback Dalton Stokes completed a pass to a player in Maroon and White. Stanley Absanon made Valpo pay, returning the interception 56 yards for a pick 6. It made the score 14-nothing and the blowout was on.

Things get much tough for EKU. The Colonels will play at NC State out of the ACC a week from Saturday (September 12th) with a kickoff set for 6pm ET.
