EKU FOOTBALL | Terror threat relocates football game in wake of campus lockdown

UPDATE: EKU’s football game against Tennessee Tech will now be played at Georgetown College
Eastern Kentucky University has been put on lockdown and all classes have been canceled for the remainder of the week following a threat written on a bathroom wall that said “KILL ALL BY 10/8/15 THIS BU OOP.”

In an alert posted Wednesday morning, university officials stated, “To allow law enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation of the continuing threat and ensure the safety of our campus community, all Eastern Kentucky University campuses will cancel classes beginning today, October 7th, 2015, at 10:00 AM and will close Thursday, October 8th and Friday October 9th, 2015.”

EKU football was scheduled to play a home game Thursday night against OVC rival Tennessee Tech. That game has been relocated, and will not take place on EKU’s campus.

The EKU police are asking for any tips and the university offered a $10,000 reward for identification, arrest and conviction of the person or people who wrote the graffiti.
