EKU FOOTBALL | Meet new coach Mark Elder

12/11/2015 06:30 AM

Today Mark Elder became the 14th head football coach in EKU history. Elder, who had spent the last 11 seasons as an assistant, most recently for the Tennessee Vols, is excited to take over the Colonels program.

Elder, who grew up in Ohio and coached at Cincinnati, feels he is in the perfect location for recruiting, what with Richmond, KY located right down the road.

We spoke with Elder to find out, among other things, what kind of offense and defense he plans to run.

Elder takes over for Dean Hood who was let go at the end of this past season. EKU finished up 6-5.
