EKU FOOTBALL | Dean Hood's Colonels regrouping after disappointing loss

11/04/2015 06:30 AM

The Colonels football team received their first blemish on their conference schedule by getting shut out at Jacksonville State, the number one team in the FBS. EKU lost 34- 0 at the hands of the Gamecocks, but have to quickly forget about the loss in order to prepare for an equally tough Tennessee-Martin team.

UT-Martin and EKU have similar records so far this season. Both teams are 5-3 with losses to two FBS schools and Jacksonville State. The big difference is where EKU failed to score a point on JSU, the Skyhawks put up 41 on the top ranked team, and ultimately only lost by a touchdown.

Head Colonel Dean Hood knows his team needs to forget the loss to JSU, and prepare for a game that could have serious playoff implications.
