Louisville’s ACC Home opener, was hard fought, but successful. Chris Jones had 22 points. Terry Rozier finished with 15, and Wayne Blackshear put in 11, as the Cardinals gutted out a 58-52 victory over Clemson. The Tigers actually led at halftime 22-18, which was Louisville’s lowest scoring half of the season. Whatever Head Coach Rick Pitino said at halftime must have sunk in, because UofL started the second half on a 17-oh run. Clemson never regained the lead.

With the win, the 5th ranked Cardinals improve to 14-1 overall, 2-0 in the ACC, while Clemson falls to 8-6, and 0-2. Louisville’s schedule only gets tougher. The next game is Saturday at number 17 North Carolina. The game tips off at 2 pm ET and can be seen on ESPN.
