Through the first seven games of the season, defense was carrying the UofL basketball team. But Tuesday night against Indiana, the offense decided to join in on the fun en route to a 20-point win in the Jimmy V Classic.
True to form, Montrezl Harrell was a monster in the paint with a double-double, but it was the guards who really stood out. Terry Rozier scored a game-high 26 points, and Chris Jones added 24 points to go along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Some question marks still remain regarding the fourth-ranked Cards, but UofL made a statement as one of the nation’s top teams in the 94-74 victory.
Off the court, UofL got good news regarding freshman guard Shaqquan Aaron. The 6-foot-8 wing, who has missed the first eight games of the season as part of a NCAA suspension, will be eligible to play December 30 when the Cards travel to Bowling Green to face Western Kentucky.
