Cards Defense Steps Up as UofL Beats Rutgers, 24-10

10/11/2013 08:20 AM

UofL intercepted passes on back-to-back drives in the 4th quarter to set up a 3 yard touchdown pass by Teddy Bridgewater to clinch the Cards’ 24-10 victory over Rutgers on Thursday night. Defense was the story of the night for the Cards, with four interceptions and eight QB sacks. That more than made up for an off-night by Bridgewater, who threw an interception and fumbled early in the fourth quarter. Watch cn|2 sports Friday night for a complete wrapup of the game, including comments from coach Strong and several players, as well as a look at all the tailgating before the game.
