What we know. When the Louisville Cardinal baseball team takes the field in the NCAA regionals starting next Friday, it will be in the friendly confines of Jim Patterson Stadium, the NCAA announced yesterday. What we dont know. Who the other 3 teams will be that will join the Cards in Louisville.

That will change today at noon as ESPNU will air the selection show where 64 teams will learn their tournament fates. The cameras will also be squarely focused on Louisville as head coach Dan McDonnell will be interviewed live during the show.

This was Louisville’s record-setting first season as a member of the ACC. The Cards set the record for most wins in the Atlantic division with a record of 25-5 in conference play. This was also Louisville’s fourth straight regular season conference title, all in different leagues.

The Cardinals entered the ACC Tournament as the number one overall seed before losing to eventual ACC Tournament champ Florida State.

The Louisville regional NCAA games will be May 29th thru June 1st.
