If I had told you Louisville’s leading scorer Terry Rozier was shutout in the first half, and that Montrezl Harrell was hovering around 10 points for much of the game, you might have thought it was a long afternoon for UofL. You would be wrong. The Cardinals got a game high 18 from senior Wayne Blackshear, and 14 points from Anton Gill off the bench, as UofL blew out the hometown FSU Seminoles 81-59.

The 17th ranked Cardinals played with energy, emotion, and hustle for a full game. Rozier, who wound up with 10 points, was strong in other areas, finishing with 6 steals and 9 assists. Harrell, who had 16 points, contributed several highlight worthy dunks that you are sure to see over and over. Freshman Guard Quentin Snider was the fifth Cardinal to finish in double figures, scoring 11. Snider once again got the start at point guard, replacing Chris Jones who was dismissed from the team last Sunday, and then was arrested on Thursday. Jones is accused of rape and sodomy. He pleaded not guilty.

With the win, Louisville improves to 23-6 overall, and 11-5 in the ACC. More important, the win keeps UofL fourth in the conference standings. The top four teams get double byes in the upcoming ACC Tournament. FSU falls to 15-15, and 7-10. The Cardinals will wrap up the regular season next week at home, with a pair of monster games. Louisville hosts number 9 Notre Dame on Wednesday and second ranked Virginia next Saturday.
