While many are focused on the Cardinals in the College World series, UofL also had four track stars competing at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Oregon. Last Night Brittany Owens finished top 10 in the women’s long jump. It is the highest finish by a Louisville female athlete in this event.

Meanwhile sprinter Calvin Arsenault came in 23rd in the 400 meter hurdles. The junior winds up earning All-American honors.

Long Distance runner Tyle Byrne came in 19th in the 10,000 meter run, which is 25 laps around a standard track. That finish earns the senior honorable mention All-American.

The lone Cardinal left is redshirt freshman Edwin Kibichiy. He competes in the 3,000 meter steeplechase tonight. The event is scheduled to begin at 8:35pm Eastern Time which is 5:35pm in Oregon.
