Brendan McKay | UofL's perfect pitcher

Louisville lefty Brendan McKay has been perfect on the mound this season. He allowed zero runs in his first outing against SIU-Edwardsville. Then last Saturday, he shut out a very good Ole Miss team, handing the 6-1 Rebels their only loss of the season.

Allowing no runs on the season means you have an ERA of 0.00. It also means people will notice. Today the Atlantic Coast Conference did, naming the lefty the ACC Pitcher of the Week. It’s the second straight week a Cardinal has won conference honors as last Monday outfielder Corey Ray was the league’s Player of the week.

McKay is also playing in the field, and hitting .286. He and the Cards are back in action Tuesday afternoon as they host Morehead State. First pitch is 3pm ET. The game is free and open to the public.
