BREEDERS CUP | Why it was a winner on and off the track

Most people that went to the Breeders Cup seemed to have a really good time. Of course, many of the fans were rooting for American Pharoah to win so they could see history in the making, and that is exactly what happened. The triple crown winning horse became the first to also capture the Breeders Cup Classic, now known as the Grand Slam. Many people who bet on American Pharoah to win, simply kept their ticket as a souvenir.
However there were just as many people who seemed to enjoy themselves in between the races. That’s because the scenic beauty of Keeneland did a great job of enhancing everyone’s experience. From the paying fans, to the owner of American Pharoah, Friday October 30th and especially Saturday October 31st seemed to be more treat than trick.
Caton Bredar is one of the many journalists who covered the Breeders Cup. We spoke with Bredar to get her take on what we witnessed, and to also get an early line on a horse to watch out for, in the 2016 Kentucky Derby.
