Bobby Petrino picks up two commits for 2015

Is there a better way to kick off the weekend than to pick up a couple of highly touted commits? Just ask UofL head coach Bobby Petrino. As the Cards did just that today when safety Khane Pass and running back Traveon Samuel both pledged to become Cardinals next season.

The 6’0”, 180 lbs Pass is a 3-star safety who held offers from big time schools including Clemson, Texas A&M, UNC and Mississippi State. The recruitment of Khane will be huge in helping the Cards sign his little brother Jawon, who is rated the top dual threat quarterback in the 2016 class.

The 5-foot-8, 180 lb Samuel is rated the No. 11 all-purpose back in the country, according to 247Sports. He is the twelfth commit for the Cards in 2015 and the third from Alabama joining defensive end Tim Bonner and lineman Troy Thingstad. Last season, Samuel totaled 1,599 yards on offense and 25 touchdowns.
