For the first time since 1988, and just the third time in franchise history, the Cincinnati Bengals are 6-0.

Cincinnati got off to a slow start in Buffalo, allowing a Bills touchdown on the opening drive. The offense then followed that up with a three and out, but that’s where their struggles of the day ended.

Jeremy Hill scored his first receiving touchdown of his career to make it 7-7.
Gio Bernard followed that up with a touchdown of his own, a 17 yard run early in the second quarter to put the Bengals up 14-7. Nugent then added a 47 yard field goal towards the end of the second quarter. The Bills answered with a wide open touchdown to Sammy Watkins just before halftime to make it 17-14 as the teams went into the locker room.

The Bengals opened up the second half with what will be known as “the Marvin Jones drive.” Jones made an unbelievable 42 yard catch down field that set up an 11 yard touchdown catch to make it 24-14.

In case the Bills forgot how many weapons the Bengals have, the next touchdown went to Tyler Eifert on a drive where Mohamed Sanu, A.J. Green, Jeremy Hill, Gio Bernard and Eifert each touched the ball at least once. The touchdown made it 31-14 with 1:42 left in the third quarter.

The Bills added a touchdown run by LeSean McCoy to make it 34-21 with 6:50 to play, but it wasn’t enough. Cincinnati held onto that lead for the rest of the fourth quarter to move to 6-0.

Next up, bye week. After today’s game, it seems the bye comes at an ideal time, especially for the Bengals defense. Vinny Rey, Darqueze Dennard and Michael Johnson all left the game with injuries.
