Bengals lose at home... by 21 points... again

Not even a career day by their star receiver, A.J. Green, could save the Bengals on Sunday. Green finished with a career high 224 yards on 11 catches and one touchdown. His 224 yards are the second-most in a game in Bengals history after Chad Johnson’s 260 yard game against San Diego in 2006.

Both Green and quarterback Andy Dalton had a big day… until the fourth quarter. A play action fumble by Dalton led to a Steelers score, and Pittsburgh never looked back. They beat Cincinnati 25-0 in the final quarter to win the game 42-21.

A team that’s usually unbeatable at home, Cincinnati has now lost two straight home games by 21 points… first to the Browns and now to the Steelers. The players are hopeful for a response similar to after the Cleveland game when they went on the road and won three straight. Still with a half-game lead on the AFC North, the Bengals will finish the season at Cleveland, vs. Denver at home and finally at Pittsburgh for a rematch of yesterday’s game.
