Bengals back to winning ways, beat Rams 31-7

A dominant 31-7 win over the Rams on Sunday gave the Bengals their first win since Week 9. They excelled in all three phases and looked every bit the team that started the season 8-0.

Andy Dalton found AJ Green for two touchdowns while Tyler Eifert also made it into the end zone, scoring his 12th touchdown of the season. On the defensive end, Bengals defensive backs were the Rams’ favorite receivers. Reggie Nelson, Leon Hall and George Iloka each came up with an interception. Hall’s pick six was his 26th interception of his career which moved him into fourth on the Bengals all-time list.

The Bengals certainly control their own destiny, but they also got a little help around the league on Sunday. The Seahawks beat the Steelers, giving the Bengals back their three game lead on the AFC North. The AFC race for a first round playoff bye changed on Sunday night, as well. The Broncos took down the previously undefeated Patriots in an overtime upset and the AFC suddenly looks wide open with the Patriots still in first followed by the Bengals in second. It seems inevitable that the fates of Cincinnati and Denver will now be determined by their Week 16 Monday Night Football match up at Mile High Stadium.
