Football preseason camps are now underway at U of L, UK and Western Kentucky. Here’s a look at the early reports:

UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY
-The C-J has a story on UK’s prized freshman Glenn Faulkner who just reported to campus after qualifying academically.

-Rick Bozich also has a column on three players from UK’s Louisville Central pipeline

-The Herald-Leader’s John Clay reports that Joker Phillips is giddy about his 2011 freshman class

-New UK football beat writer Jen Smith chimes in with her Sunday notebook.

-The Advocate-Messenger’s Larry Vaught writes about projected No. 1 tailback Raymond Sanders and Gene McCaskill , who’s returning after missing 2011 with a knee injury.

UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE
-The C-J’s C.L. Brown looks at senior running back Victor Anderson, who hopes to return to his freshman year

-U of L is expecting big things from its sophomore class according to Cardinal Connect.

-Card Chronicle has a summary of the Cards’ first and second days of practice.

(Just a reminder: U of L’s Media Day is Wednesday, so there will be many more stories out of Cardinal camp later in the week).

WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY
