A pair of WKU Players are drafted in the 7th Round

The NFL Draft wrapped up Saturday Night, with two Western Kentucky Hilltoppers going in the seventh and final round.
With the 223rd overall pick, the Miami Dolphins selected Quarterback Brandon Doughty, which ought to make the South Florida native happy. Doughty is from Davie, Florida, which happens to be where the Dolphins practice. He becomes the first WKU quarterback drafted. Doughty put up video game type numbers the last couple of seasons, throwing for almost 10-thousand yards, and 100 touchdowns.
Doughty led WKU to a Conference USA title this past season, a victory in the Miami Beach Bowl, and a final ranking in the AP Top 25 poll.
Then 26 picks later, San Francisco chose WKU Cornerback Prince Charles Iworah with the 249th pick. Iworah had 15 pass break ups in his senior season, and finished his WKU career with 91 total tackles, 3.5 for loss, with five interceptions and 21 pass breakups. He caught the eye of scouts and NFL Officials during WKU’s Pro Day when he ran the 40 yard dash in 4.32, and jumped 38.5 inches in the vertical leap.
