Even after a loss to UCONN, the odds were still in Louisville’s favor, but they didn’t produce, losing 9-1 to Rutgers and eliminating themselves from the Big East Tournament altogether. Senior Compete in the 50 & Over Games

KSTV’s “Radio” Ron Chilton and about a dozen others enjoyed Wednesday’s sunny, warm weather by taking part in Metro Parks’ “50 and Over” games. Evan Gordon Transfers to IU

Former North Central guard and Arizona State transfer Evan Gordon committed to Indiana Wednesday morning. Gordon will be eligible to play right away at Indiana. He averaged 10-points for the Sun Devils as a junior after transferring from Liberty. Gordon’s older brother, Eric, played at IU in 2007-08 and is now in the NBA with New Orleans. Read more

Charlie Strong is hoping one of his new commitments can convince his teammate to sign on with the Cards. Trevon Lee is currently considered a Top 50 Wide Receiver in the country. The 3-star recruit out of Fort Lauderdale picked up an offer from the Cards March 7th. Lee is high school teammates with George Rushing, who committed to Louisville last Friday. Goldencents Will Be On His Own in the Preakness

Rick Pitino says he will not be traveling to Baltimore this weekend to watch Goldencents run in the Preakness, but his brother Richard may be making the trip. Goldencents is coming off a very disappointing 17th-place finish at the Derby, finishing nearly 50 lengths behind winner Orb. Trainer Doug O’Neill says he’s been trying to acclimate Goldencents to the track. Strong picks up his 13th and 14th verbal Commitments for the 2014 Class

George Rushing is a 6’, 180lb three star wide receiver out of Fort Lauderdale. Rushing chose Louisville over Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Northern Illinois. Isaiah Ford is also a three star wide receiver who hails from Jacksonville. The 6’2”, 170lb player chose Louisville over a number of elite level programs, including Arkansas, South Carolina, and Mississippi State. Ford is also a high school teammate of offensive lineman Kavaris Harkless, who committed to UofL last month.  Read more

Kirby Adams Ran the KDF Marathon So You Didn't Have To

On Saturday, thousands of runners filled the streets of downtown Louisville for the 40th annual Kentucky Derby Festival Mini-Marathon and Marathon.
