Trinity star defensive lineman Jason Hatcher committed to USC Friday evening and late Tuesday, his teammate Ryan White also made his college decision. The 5’10” defensive back, rated as a four-star prospect by 247 Sports, gave his verbal to the Vanderbilt Commodores, giving James Franklin yet another highly regarded prospect in his 2013 class. White was previously committed to Louisville and also held offers from Arkansas, Illinois, UK and Michigan. Read more 

At the annual Governor’s Cup Luncheon held today in Simpsonville, both Joker Phillips and Charlie Strong took questions about the issues surrounding their football programs. That meant there was a lot of conversation about social media and the summer-long back-and-forth between UK and UofL players on Twitter. The summer saga surrounding Terry Rozier’s eligibility concluded today with the announcement that he will play for Hargrave Military Academy next season. Jody Demling of Cardinal Authority broke the news, which comes just after reports that Rozier’s chances of playing for the Cards this season were “50-50”. The Big East conference announced their basketball schedule pairings for the upcoming 2012-13 season today. The pairings were selected so that each Big East team would play at least half their conference games against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season. UofL will host Cincinnati, Marquette, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Providence, St. John’s, Seton Hall, USF and Syracuse, while they’ll travel to Connecticut, DePaul, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Seton Hall, USF, Syracuse and Villanova.  Read more
