2013 World Series Bats Produced at Louisville Slugger
10/21/2013 08:46 PM
For the 100th year, Louisville Slugger bats will go down in history as the official bat of the World Series.
The iconic wooden bats will arrive in Boston in time for the first pitch in Game 1 of the championship match-up between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox. Three game bats are created to the exact specifications of position players on each team, two bats for starting pitchers and one bat each for relievers. Louisville Slugger has made bats for players in every World Series since the first Fall Classic in 1903.
Game 1 of the 2013 World Series begins at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
